We have eighteen mini sessions to choose from as well as an Annual Plan.  All our minis come with High Resolution Digital Downloads that you choose from your private online album.  Need prints, or novelty items? No problem, you can order plenty of optional items from your album as well.

Our Annual Club Plan

For a limited time, you can join our ‘Annual Club.’  Choose 12 mini sessions from our schedule.  From each session, choose the included HR digital downloads, and select one of these to be printed in your Annual magazine, ready for pickup on December 18th.   The ‘Annual’ magazine is an awesome way to commemorate your child’s growth, from month to month.  Several cover designs are available. Choose that too later in the year, so that it looks great with your favourite cover image.    The initial Annual Magazine is valued at $55.00 with duplicate copies available for $25.00 each.  Your Annual Club membership includes the initial magazine, and 12 sessions valued at approximately 565.00.   • Session fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable. Session length may vary.
  • Sessions take place in our booth at the Thunder Bay Country Market unless otherwise stated.
  • Registration for each session opens on this site approximately 2 weeks in advance of a session.  Time selection and payment can be conveniently completed online on our website.
  • The age requirement for all mini sessions is 1.  Infants may be added to a photo if an older sibling can hold them.  Infants add time to your session and you may not be able to have as many pictures taken as we normally would be able to. Please refer to our Maternity and Baby page for age appropriate infant photo sessions.
  • Up to two children from the same immediate family, living under the same roof can be included in any one session. For a third child, add a second session.
  • Have two children from different families in a photo together by reserving two sessions back to back.
  • Images are edited, and downloads are high resolution.  Retouching is available for a nominal fee. See our main children’s page for details.
  • Proofs and downloadable images are typically available within a week.
  • Printed products are usually ready in 7-14 days.
  • All deliveries of product are at the Thunder Bay Country Market during their regular hours.

LIMITED EDITIONS

Shine Photo is known for its imaginative and interactive Limited Editions for Children.  Each session takes place in an elaborate set in our studio. Props and costumes are included. Each session comes with a single printed image. Additional products are available as an option at a private, in person proof reveal in the studio.  Each image starts with photography, but is then hand processed to become a one-of-a-kind work of art.

  • Session fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable. Session length may vary. Most LE sessions are 30 -40 minutes in length.
  • Sessions take place in our Crawford Street Studio unless otherwise stated.
  • Registration for each session opens on this site approximately 2 weeks in advance of a session.  Time selection and payment can be conveniently completed online on our website.
  • The age requirement for all mini sessions is 3.  Some three year old children may not yet be ready to understand what is happening, or they may be afraid of the camera and lights. Parents, please select a session wisely with your child’s temperament in mind.
  • Up to two children from the same immediate family, living under the same roof can be included in any one session. For a third child, add a second session.
  • Images selected for your prints are fully retouched with ‘magic’ artwork applied in post production by photo shop experts. This creates one-of-a-kind art that features your child.
  • A proof reveal session is scheduled at your photo appointment for a few days later.  We recommend that you do not bring your children to the proof reveal session so that you can focus on choosing the images that you love best. Please review our policies about missed reveal sessions under the Policies link in the About tab of our main menu.
  • Please allow 3-4 weeks for product delivery.  Time varies depending on the amount of artwork and retouching being applied.
  • All deliveries of product are at the Thunder Bay Country Market during their regular hours.

These sessions are the Crown Jewels of our Photography works.  Each session takes place in a highly detailed, interactive set.  Our Nostalgic Santa session our so special, it requires its own page! and comes with its own newsletter, ‘The Reindeer Express.’    Other Fine Art sessions include the Historic Voyageur and the Vintage Hockey set.

  • The age requirement for sessions is 3.  Younger children can be added in some instances.  This can be discussed in your consultation.  Some three year old children may not yet be ready for a photo session of this detail without the presence of an older sibling.
  • Up to two children from the same immediate family, living under the same roof can be included in any one session. Additional children incur an additional pro-rated fee.
  • Images selected for your prints are fully retouched with ‘magic’ artwork applied in post production by photo shop experts. This creates one-of-a-kind art that features your child.
  • A minimum product purchase amount is in place for each session.
  • A proof reveal session is scheduled at your photo appointment for a few days later.
  • Please allow 4-6 weeks for product delivery.  Time varies depending on the number of children in a session, the artwork being applied and the complexity of the product ordered.

EVERYDAY AWESOME STUDIO SESSIONS

Studio & Location Sessions are available year round at Shine Photo by appointment.  Sessions can be for children alone, or for families with children. Well behaved pets are also welcome.  We are always happy to discuss your needs with you.  We recommend that you reserve your session at least two weeks in advance, although sometimes, last minute appointments are available.  For Christmas Portraits, be sure to schedule a session before mid November as this is a very busy time of year.

  • Most family and children’s Studio Sessions are $99.00 + HST and include a complimentary 8×10 print and private proof reveal session.
  • Session fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable. Payment of the session fee confirms your session.   Unpaid sessions may be cancelled. Session length varies with the session and age of child.
  • For outdoor or on location sessions, there is an additional fee. Please call for details.
  • Registration for these sessions are ongoing all year. Saturday sessions are not available.  Sunday and Holiday session fees are doubled.
  • The age requirement for sessions is 1.  Younger children can be added in some instances.  Please see our Maternity and Baby Page for more appropriate infant photography sessions.
  • Images selected for your prints are fully retouched.
  • Please allow 1-2 weeks for product delivery.  Time varies depending on the number of children in a session, the complexity of any retouching that may be required and the type of  products ordered.
